I contacted Madhuri for online counselling at the onset of COVID-19 pandemic lockdown in California, USA. I was going through a rough patch and my anxiety had hit the roof. Since everything was shut down and only online counselling options were available, I decided to go for overseas therapy with Madhuri as I had been following her blogs for a while and her writings had a soothing and comforting effect on me.

The sessions were pre-scheduled and always started on-time. With Madhuri’s medical background, it was easy to talk to her about my worries related to health, and this whole Covid pandemic. She helped me calm down tremendously. She taught me practical tools with which I can handle my anxiety much better now. She helped me reflect and always see the positive and be grateful in any situation. There is a respectful, non-judgmental, empathetic and reliable environment with her which made it easy for me to open up with her.

Madhuri is indeed a gifted therapist who can touch people’s lives through her kind and compassionate ways. She is intelligent and can grasp quickly and assess the situation. Initially, I was unsure of how this online and overseas counselling would work but I’m very glad that I found her and it worked out great!

Madhuri is a gifted and caring therapist. I can tell you this first hand as earlier this year during lock down I was struggling with anxiety. Many days I felt I was dipping and struggling to keep myself afloat emotionally. The way I describe the help I had from Madhuri was like this. I felt that she came along and picked me up, guided me through my jumbled thoughts, got me to really logically look at things and reset myself. Before these sessions I was very anxious about stepping outside my house due to the fear of panic attacks I had experienced in the past. This coupled with the pandemic made me nearly agarophobic. Thanks to Madhuri I was able to challenge my anxious thoughts and increase the ammount of times I went outside even if it was just with a family member. It started as just short walks, and then and then eventually progressed to going to the shops, the park and the beach. She is an incredibly intelligent and empathetic person who really listens to what's bothering you and helps you draw up a plan to fix it. She has some excellent worksheets and information on the different types of thinking which can help or hinder our mental health and helps to break down just why your emotions are the way they are. A brilliant counselling session, one of the kindest therapists I have ever had.
